Returns
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn, clean, and free from odors, stains, hair, pet hair, or signs of wear, and must be in their original packaging.
Please contact us before sending any return. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
Size/Fit Issues or Customer Preference
If an item doesn't fit or you change your mind, we accept returns at the customer's expense. The original shipping cost is generally non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund, except where required by applicable law. Return shipping costs and any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other import-related charges are also the customer's responsibility.
We base our sizing on Japanese centimeters (cm). If you have size concerns before ordering, please contact us — we're happy to provide measurements and photos.
Notes on Size Exchange
For size exchanges, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to Japan and the re-shipping cost from our store. International shipping can be relatively expensive. If you are unsure about sizing, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order.
Proof of Purchase
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within a few business days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received your refund, please check your bank account first, then contact your credit card company or bank. If you still have not received it, contact us at heiwaslipper@gmail.com.
Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
Defective or Damaged Items
For defective or damaged items, we will offer a replacement where available. If a replacement is not possible, we may offer a refund in accordance with applicable consumer law. Please contact us at heiwaslipper@gmail.com with photos of the issue.
Return Shipping
To return your product, please contact us first for our return address in Japan. You are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for items over $35, as we cannot guarantee receipt of untracked returns.
⚠️ Import Duties & Taxes
If a customer refuses to pay import duties, VAT, brokerage fees, or similar charges, and the package is refused, abandoned, or returned to us, the original shipping cost, return shipping fees, customs fees, brokerage fees, and any other costs incurred may be deducted from any refund. If the package is not returned to us, we cannot issue a refund.
EU Customers — Right of Withdrawal
For EU customers, this policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable EU or national consumer law.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason (cooling-off period).
To exercise this right, please contact us at heiwaslipper@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your order, stating your name, order number, and your intention to withdraw. We will send you a confirmation by email.
After notifying us of your withdrawal, please send the item back within 14 days.
Please note that return shipping costs and any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other import-related charges are the customer's responsibility. Where EU law requires otherwise, those provisions will take precedence.
For EU withdrawals, we will process the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned item or you have provided evidence that you have sent it back, whichever is earlier.
