🛃 Customs, Taxes & Carrier Fees (International)

  • Origin: All orders ship from Japan.
  • Possible charges: customs duty, import taxes (VAT/GST), and carrier handling/disbursement/brokerage fees.
  • Not included at checkout: Usually collected by the carrier or customs at/before delivery.
  • Responsibility: The recipient agrees to pay any applicable import charges.
  • EU (IOSS): Our webshop does not participate in IOSS → VAT + carrier fee may be due on delivery. Etsy collects VAT at checkout.
  • Canada: Japan-made items are typically duty-free under CPTPP; GST/HST still applies. Etsy collects tax at checkout (often avoids carrier fee).
  • DHL ODD: Email link to prepay taxes/fees online and schedule delivery.
Amounts are set by your local customs authority and the carrier. If import charges are refused and the parcel is returned, original shipping and any return costs are non-refundable.
