Why do we recommend inhouse slippers with wool felt soles? | Heiwa Slipper

The soles of the indoor slippers we produce are made of two main materials.

One is made of vinyl soles.

The other is made of wool felt soles.

In Japan, most slippers are generally made of vinyl or plastic soles. The reason for this is that they are inexpensive, light and durable. They are used in almost all slippers.

On the other hand, indoor slippers with wool felt soles are rarely seen in recent years. The reason for this is the high price.
In addition, wool felt soles were often produced in white color, so they were often avoided because they were easily stained.

However, slippers with wool felt soles are very light, soft and comfortable to wear. They also have the advantage of not being noisy. This is very important in a dense living environment like Japan.

If you compare the two slippers, the difference is obvious. Wool felt soles are clearly quieter and more comfortable than vinyl soles, which tend to make a clattering sound.

All of our new wool felt soles are produced in black. The black color makes them more expensive, but they are less likely to get dirty and have a cool and beautiful design.

We hope you will try our slippers with wool felt soles for yourself.
